Dental Crowns
A crown is a tooth shaped prosthesis used to restore heavily broken tooth or protect a root canal treated tooth which has a massive filling. Dental crowns are permanently cemented on teeth and can be Porcelain Fused to Metal, Zirconia or Full Porcelain. During the first appointment, the dentist prepares the tooth-reducing the size of it in order to fit the crown. Afterwards an impression or an intraoral scanner is used in order to record all the details for the technician, in order to make the crown with high precision. The patient leaves the office with a temporary crown in order to maintain function, esthetics as well as to avoid sensitivity. A second session follows for the trial, adjustment and cementation process of the crown.
